Prince to Tour London then Study the Bible

His name once seemed almost synonymous with the word “sex,” but now Prince has other things on his mind. He plans to play twenty one concert dates in London starting August 1st of this year and will then take time off to study the Bible. Over his career, Prince has sold approximately 80 million albums. Hits like “When Doves Cry,” “Little Red Corvette,” and “1999” have made him a household name in the 80s. But now it seems that as he closes in on age 50, Prince has things more spiritual in nature on his mind. Prince said that he is getting his inspiration from prophet from the Bible these days. He has said he is doing so many concerts in London because he does not know when he will be back again. In fact, the public relations firm that is handling the tour, Outside Organisation, has said this will be a tour of Prince performing his greatest hits for the last time, although Prince will not confirm that claim.

Prince has said he will only tour London and no other sites in Europe simply because “I love London. I’ve had some of my favorite shows there.” He is charging ticket prices based on the title of his latest hit album. The tickets will cost concertgoers 31.21 pounds, after the album “3121.” At a price of $62, that is still relatively affordable for a concert ticket today. After all, Barbra Streisand is headlining a show at the London 02 venue and her ticket prices are going for between 100 and 600 pounds. Despite the ticket prices, her concert sold out within minutes.

Prince also plans to give away copies of “3121” at his concert, stating that the record industry is going through a tumultuous time right now (with both illegal and legal downloading of singles).
