I thought that I would write a blog about a great site that is operated by the church that not everyone may know about. It is providentliving.org. This is a wonderful site that has resources available on topics that
affect our temporal lives. I love to go and just browse all the information that is available through providentliving.org. The site is divided into various sections.
The first section is titled Humanitarian relief, and it talks about the things that church has done to help those throughout the world in need, especially during times of crisis. You can read about several programs that church has, as well as find out ways that you can help their efforts.
The next section is Employment. This section includes a list of available jobs throughout the United States and also in several other countries. There is also information available on how to improve your interviewing, and job searching skills. You can also find useful information if you are interested in starting your own business.
The third section is Food Storage and Preparedness. This section gives guidelines on what to store and how to safely store your food. It also has items needed for emergency kits. You can also find information on gardening.
The fourth section is about Education and Literacy. In this section you can find articles about the importance of education both temporal and spiritual education. It always talks about education in the family.
The fifth section is Resource Management. This section has information available about budgeting and money management. The articles are excellent and can be applied to nearly any circumstance.
The sixth section is Social and Emotional Strength. You can find articles about these topics, as well as other resources that may be available to you.
The last section is about Physical Strength. You will find information about how to properly care for yourself and your family to make sure that you stay healthy. On the site it also talks about Deseret Industries, which is a program sponsored by the church which is similar to Goodwill, and other resources which are available to church leaders.
This site is a great resource to anybody that wants to learn more about any of these topics. I have learned a lot as I have read the information available. I hope that you will go and check out this great resource.
