Putting Together a Scrapbook Night

Have you ever wanted to accomplish something in particular but you just can’t get going? There are so many projects and things around my house that I want to do but can’t seem to muster the motivation. Sometimes that happens in the world of scrapbooking. We have all of the supplies, we have plenty of pictures to tackle but we are lacking motivation.

Well I have the cure-all for that one. Put together a scrapbooking night in your home. Invite some other scrapbookers over, provide a light snack and some beverages and get out those supplies. It’s a way to boost your motivation and have fun at the same time.

I really miss scrapbooking nights. Years ago I used to attend several of them. One of my favorite homes to go into was a friend that set everything up so nicely. She had space in her finished basement to put up three folding tables and chairs. At each spot she had a placemat so that scraps of paper could easily be shaken into a bag. She even went so far as to tape a plastic bag on the table at each spot so that you could easily put your scraps into it. There was a smaller table with beverages and light snacks that you could go to anytime you liked.

Throughout the evening you talked, laughed, scrapbooked and ate. It was so much fun. It was also great because you were able to get ideas from other scrapbookers. If you were stuck and needed an idea on something you had a number of scrapbookers to offer their suggestions. You also have access to tools that you may not own. It was so nice to share with one another.

So if you are feeling like you need a good pick me up and a boost in motivation to get going on your scrapbooking, arrange to have a few friends over. It will be a fun way to produce some great looking memory keepers.
