Brief description:

Uses Comic Sans Font on color cards to make it dyslexic friendly. This system of teaching my dyslexic child color words worked! So, I want to share it with others. The system is set up like a memory game where the child matches color words in color to color words in black and white and to color cards and images. To reinforce this, a matching game is also detailed. Included are worksheets to further reinforce reading color words.

Thoughts:

If you are teaching color words than this is the book you need to help your child achieve success. For only $1.00, and much less on Cyber Monday, you will get a system to easily master color words. The system uses memory games and matching games in a progression format to achieve mastery. The book includes cards you cut out with color words in black font, color words in colored font, color bursts, and foods of the colors of study. These cards will create five different memory games and five different matching games. The method is visual and the font on the cards is dyslexic friendly which makes this perfect for students with dyslexia or struggling readers. I used the method with my seven year old daughter, who is dyslexic, and she was able to achieve mastery of color word recognition. The book also includes a few added worksheets which reinforce color word recognition. The sheets also take a multi-sensory approach and use the dyslexic friendly font. The method will help any student learn color words in a fun and effective way.
