Reading for the Fifth Grade Student
Now, that your child is older, it is a great time to expose them (if they haven’t been already) to great literature. Many homeschoolers who have pulled their children out of public school may discover that their children have an aversion to reading. Don’t be put off by this. Your homeschooling journey is new and it may even require a period of “unschooling” to let your child set into their new role as “independent learner”. A great way to ease the process is by reading literary classics and living books to your child. This is very educational and shouldn’t be frowned upon. Once your child’s imagination is stirred, let them read through the books on this list.
