Ready, Set… Wed!

It yet another startling chapter (oh wait, nothing in Hollywood surprises me anymore) in the ongoing saga between actor Charlie Sheen, his ex-wife, Denise Richards and his current girlfriend Brooke Mueller it seems a wedding is in the offing… for Sheen and Mueller.

According to TV’s “Extra,” after a year of dating, Sheen popped the question to his real estate investor girlfriend on a Costa Rican beach. He reportedly sealed the deal with a $500,000 engagement ring. Good gravy! Do you think he thought she would say no if the ring was worth less than a house, two cars, and a year’s worth of pedicures?

Even stranger is the relationship forged between the Richards and Mueller. Are we to think that this is another Demi/Ashton/Bruce in the making? It wouldn’t be as far fetched if it were not for the fact that in the early stages of their divorce proceedings Richards accused Sheen of being physically abusive and a drug user (among other things). She even went so far as to ask a judge to restrict his visitation with the couple’s two young daughters.

If all of those accusations are true how did he get another woman to overlook those flaws and vow to spend the rest of her life with him? (The ring?)

Moving on…

Let’s put to rest the rumors swirling about another Hollywood courting situation.

There will be no marriage between Ivanka Trump and ABC’s “The View.” The Donald’s daughter went on the record today (see Ryan Seacrest’s radio show) to shoot down recent reports that she was being courted by Barbara Walters to be the newest co-host on the daytime chatfest.

“There’s zero chance I would do that,” Trump said.

Apparently, the Trump-ess is too busy jetting around the world with her father’s company to accept a permanent co-hosting job, though she revealed a temporary gig isn’t out of the question.

Asked by Seacrest if she’d consider sitting in on the show for a week, Trump answered: “That could be interesting.”

For her or viewers?
