Realtor Networking

One of the best things you can do when listing your house for sale is to work with a realtor that knows the importance of networking. Keep in mind that while you may not know it, realtors do talk. Therefore, when you first list your home, you want the price to be competitive but not so high that agents do not want to show it. Remember, you want as many agents from various companies to show your home to potential buyers. However, if the price is too high, they will not show it.

It is also important that your realtor not engage in buying listings. With this, other agents are aced out because they did not get the listing. Just remember, this person is someone who should intend to see your home sell quickly and for the price that you want. Therefore, if you are not happy, you can always find a different listing agent, one that will put the sell of your home as a priority.

Unfortunately, there are listing agents that are great at selling their services to the seller but not great at selling the home. Considering that you will pay a commission to this agent, you obviously want one that uses every possible tool and resource, to include realtor networking. If you are not sure where to begin, ask a friend or family member if they know of anyone qualified, an agent that will market your home.

Keep in mind that in addition to surface marketing, which includes the for sale sign, the open house, and the flyer box, you want a real estate agent that gets the word out to other realtors. Yes, your agent would receive less commission if another real estate agent sells your home but the sale of your home should be the agent’s number one concern. Therefore, make sure your real estate uses flyers but most importantly, realtor networking.
