If guys could get pregnant, I’m pretty sure Desmond Hatchett wouldn’t be making headlines for fathering 30 children.
And I’m not talking about Duggar-style procreating.
The infamous sperm donor, whom Dr. Drew calls a “menace to society,” has 30 children by 11 different women.
Hatchett briefly caught the eye of the media back in 2009 when his notorious spawning tally stood at 21 children.
Now, the 33-year-old baby daddy is back in the news, and it’s not because he has since added nine more children to his brood. According to reports, Hatchett is begging the state of Tennessee to help him pay child support.
The record-breaking baby daddy claims that he is broke. Hatchett recently petitioned the state to help him meet his child support obligations. In legal documents, the deadbeat dad states that he only makes minimum wage and cannot afford to offer financial support to his 30 offspring.
Records show that the mothers of Hatchett’s children are legally entitled to receive anywhere from $25 to $309 a month to help raise the kids. Currently, the state of Tennessee garnishes half of Hatchett’s paycheck and divides it among the mothers of his children. However, as it stands right now, some of the baby mamas receive as little as $1.49 a month.
Hatchett’s 30 children range in age from toddlers to 14 years old.
The Knoxville native bragged to news reporters that he had four kids in the same year. Twice. Nine of the children were born in the last three years, but Hatchett says, there could be more out there.
Ironically, in 2009, Hatchett told a local TV news reporter that he was done having children and really didn’t intend to have as many kids as he already had.
“It just happened,” he told the reporter.
Really?
Funny, I don’t know many kids that spontaneously appear out of thin air.
I’m pretty sure there’s only one child who has been immaculately conceived and He’s not related Hatchett.
Earlier tonight, HLN’s Dr. Drew summed up this sorry state of parenthood better than I ever could:
“This one guy has affected 11 women’s lives,” Dr. Drew noted. “Somewhere between 21 and 30 children are out there that are his and his responsibility, and yet, he’s smiling and carrying on.”
What do make of Hatchett’s inability to keep his pants on?
