At fourteen weeks of pregnancy, there’s a lot of different things going through my mind; things that I am expecting to happening and new things I have never experienced before.
I have been told by several experienced moms that I will show early with the second pregnancy. At fourteen weeks, my uterus still hasn’t pushed passed my pelvic bone. I am not at all concerned. I know that soon my belly will be expanding at a very fast rate and I am in no hurry. I would rather enjoy this pregnancy day by day and not wish it away (e.g. I wish I were showing or I wish I filled out this pregnancy top) like I did with my first pregnancy. I would like to take each week as it comes and really take the time to appreciate and marvel every moment.
I have also heard that every pregnancy is different. I was hoping that at fourteen weeks the morning sickness would be passed. With my first pregnancy my morning sickness symptoms vanished at fifteen weeks. I am really hoping that the same will be true for this pregnancy. If all pregnancy are different, there is no guarantee that I will be nausea free in a week.
I wasn’t expecting to feel my hips and pelvis shift so soon. It seemed like my hips began to shift after twenty-five weeks or so with my first pregnancy. Here I am at fourteen weeks and relaxin has already started to take affect on my hips and it is not only obvious to me, my sisters told me that I have a wider gait. Hopefully my strengthening prenatal workout will keep my hips in line!
I thought that I would still be able to do my Jillian Michael’s cardio workout at this point in my pregnancy. My belly isn’t protruding at all and my balance hasn’t really been affected. I’m going to blame this on my hips shifting. I have the energy but the fifty minute cardio has too much jumping and I guess my relaxinized joints don’t like it.
