Many congregations offer divorce support and recovery classes and often have members who themselves have been through a divorce and can relate to what your family might be going through.
One important aspect of this asset is for adults and their children to both be involved in religious services. Do not just drop your children off and pick them up when church is over. Also, try to incorporate faith and spirituality into your daily living. Make important decisions based on your faith. Share bible stories with your children. Both boys and girls enjoy hearing about characters from the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. These real life people with their real life problems can be an inspiration to young people who might be struggling with forming their self-identity.
It is beneficial for children to understand God’s infinite love for them in light of the fact that their parents who claim to love them very much have divorced and in the child’s way of thinking-abandoned him or her. Attending church services and talking with spiritual people can help us have a better understanding of who we are in relation to God.

Friends who are really more like family in the congregation will often stand by and walk with us during difficult times, and some churches may offer short term financial or other assistance if needed to members of their congregation. Children gain another opportunity to make new friends outside of school and experience diverse family dynamics.
