Due to a recent injury my exercising has been put on hold temporarily. I hate sitting still though. While I was browsing about on the internet recently I discovered something that I will put to good use just as soon as I am able to.
With the economy the way it is some people are having a tough time just trying to pay the bills so having a membership at a health club is just too much of a luxury (this would be me.) I was elated to find that I can exercise at my local community center practically free of charge. They do not offer any exercise equipment usage, but just being able to run or walk there or even join in on some exercise classes would be wonderful.
Granted the hours are not as I would like them to be, but you cannot have everything, can you? Still, they are reasonably doable. For nothing I can run or walk on an indoor track. I like this idea because I really do not want to run around my neighborhood during the day. I also do not want to run or walk early in the morning or late in the evening when it is dark due to safety….and also because I do not want any dogs nipping at my heels, which would also fall under the safety category.
In this community center they also have drop-in exercise classes. The fee is just under a dollar! You cannot beat that. I am anxious to check it out more thoroughly in person when I can get back into the swing of things.
Just think, how many other resources are available that we are not aware of? Do a search in your town to find out what else is available to you at a no cost or a low cost fee. You just might be surprised.
