Review of Digital Picture Frames (2)

Continuing on my research path of digital photo frames, I wanted to share the other two great finds I found. While I do not personally own these, I have been considering purchasing one and have done some pretty intensive research. Earlier, I told you about a frame in a Review of Digital Picture Frames (1) that I really liked because of its price and features, but now I’d like to discuss two other great frames I found.

Kodak Easy Share Digital Picture Frames

These tend to be on the more expensive side. They are available in both a standard version and a wireless version. The smaller 7” standard digital frame retails at $129.95 which is comparable to the Ceiva frames according to www.kodak.com. However I was pleased with Kodak’s numerous sizes available and the prices climbed all the way to $279.95 for a 10” Wireless Kodak digital frame. One of the features I loved with all of the Kodak Easy Share Digital Picture frames is that they play MP3s through built in speakers on the frame giving you a whole picture experience. Thought that was pretty cool. They even have extended features such as Wi-Fi and editing right there on the frame, capabilities.

Gigantor Digital Photo Frame

I almost purchased this digital photo frame on the spot when I saw it and read about its features. The first thing I fell in love with is the fact that it is a gigantic 15” picture frame. The 15″ Gigantor Digital Photo Frame has amazing features that were a very easy sell. From delivering a sharp 1024×768 resolution, having built-in speakers, having support for eight different media types , and offering MPEG Video & MP3 playback all at a reasonable-size price, this little, well big digital frame topped the list of favorites quickly. And the features go beyond it’s beautifully large size into many high-tech fun things to look at. First, no computer is needed at all, everything is done right on the screen. Just insert a compatible memory card into the digital frame to show your photos, play MP3 music files or any supported video files. The frame is made of a beautiful Cherry Wood and looks great anywhere. There are dozens of other features to look at when reviewing this frame, but I will let you discover them on your own, because you know what you are looking for. So what’s the skinny on this amazing frame? How much does something like this cost? $300? $275? Nope! I found it for $249 which I felt was extremely comparable to all the other prices out there and with so many features it makes it well worth the money.

Overall I am not sure I could totally choose between these three digital frames at this point, even with my great review of the Gigantor. More research needs to be done and I need to get my hands on them so I can play a bit. If you have a digital frame, please let us know what you like about it, what kind it is and where it can be found.
