Rice & Beef Oriental
Flank steak is a nice cheap piece of beef. Cooked and sliced right it tastes great and has good texture too.
INGREDIENTS:
3/4 lb flank steak, cut into thin strips
2 tbs oil
1 1/2 cup broccoli florets
1/2 cup scallions,cut diagonally into pieces
1/2 cup diced red pepper
1 1/2 cup water
2 tbs dry sherry
1 tbs soy sauce
1 packet french onion soup mix
1 1/2 cup rice
DIRECTIONS:
1. Saute beef in oil in large skillet until browned, about 3 to 5 minutes.
2. Add vegetables and stir fry 2 minutes. Add water, sherry, soy sauce and soup mix.
3. Bring to a full boil. Stir in rice. Cover; remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
Prep: 15 minutes
Cook: 20 minutes
