Ridiculously Low Hotel Rates in Rome

If you have ever dreamed of spending Valentine’s Day in the Eternal City, but didn’t have the funds to treat your sweetheart to such a luxury—-now’s your big chance. Several hotels in the heart of Rome are offering spectacular savings from now until the end of February. But, if you want in on the sensationally low rates I would suggest acting fast. The rates listed below apply to select rooms and the offer is good on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Take a look:

Empire Palace Hotel

How’s this for an incredible deal… The legendary four-star Empire Palace Hotel located next to Via Veneto and housed in a perfectly preserved palazzo has dropped its price for a standard room from $400 per night to $240 per night (if you book through Expedia.com). The building’s original owners installed ceiling frescoes showing the heavens in azure blue, which visitors (both guests and non-guests) come to admire on a daily basis. The hotel is also home to an award-wining restaurant that serves Mediterranean fare.

Hotel Trevi

Not only is the Hotel Trevi located in the historical heart of the city (very close to the Spanish Steps) it has gained a three-star rating and raves from many of its guests. While the hotel is situated near some of the city’s most popular tourist attractions you won’t find it sitting on a busy block; rather the lodging is tucked away down one of Rome’s quaintest alleys, far enough away from the noise and crowds. A standard guest room is on the smaller side yet bright and clean. Deluxe rooms are larger and have antique furniture and wooden ceilings with massive beams. There’s also a roof-garden restaurant where you can dine on an array of pasta dishes. All this for the low, low price of $129 per night—-if you book at Hotels.com.

Princess Hotel

While the Princess Hotel might not be located in the center of Rome’s busy tourist section you’ll still feel like royalty staying there. The three-star hotel is situated in the verdant residential area of Aurelia, just a short bus ride from the Vatican. The hotel is well equipped with a restaurant, an outdoor pool and a modern guest rooms. If you book through Hotels.com you can get a $150 per night room for just $112.
