Rihanna has yet to speak publicly about the battering she allegedly took at the hands of her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. However, sources say the singer is now ready to dish about her recent attack with… Oprah Winfrey.
Look Magazine is reporting that the talk show queen has secretly been counseling the Umbrella hitmaker since devoting an entire show to dating violence. During the episode, which aired a few weeks ago, Winfrey urged the R&B star to take some time alone to clear her mind, and urged her not to reconcile with Brown until both received professional help.
Now, here’s the part of Look’s article that I find a little hard (okay, a lot hard) to believe. Sources reportedly told the magazine that Rihanna has no qualms about appearing on Winfrey’s show, but she wants Brown to come too.
Look claims that Rihanna wants Brown to apologize to her on Winfrey’s show in front of millions and millions of people.
Given that Brown has yet to have his day in court to defend his actions, I highly doubt a TV interview is in his future.
Before Brown and Rihanna decide whether or not to spill their guts on Oprah, they should consult with Ben Affleck.
The actor recently revealed that appearing on “Dateline NBC” in 2003 was one of the biggest mistakes of his life.
“Ben & Jen: A Dateline Special,” remember that classic?
The TV news special documented the romance of Affleck and his then fiancee Jennifer Lopez in an effort to promote the movie flop “Gigli.” Cameras followed the pair everywhere and both Affleck and Lopez were candid about their romance.
Affleck now confesses that he has nothing but bad memories about the intimate portrayal – and he wishes he had said no to the idea.
Last week the actor told TV reporters:
“That special was before the movie came out and I did it at the request of the people who financed the movie. I wish I hadn’t done it. At a certain point I think you have to strike a balance between what you owe people who finance your work and the degree to which you can protect the integrity of your personal life. In that case, I erred on the side of not sufficiently protecting my own privacy. If I could do it all again I would not have done that TV special and I will not do anything like it in the future.”
Easy for him to say now that he is happily married to Jennifer Garner who happens to be the mother of his two kids.
Lopez has two kids of her own too, with hubby Marc Anthony.
No word on whether she would pimp out her relationship for the TV cameras again.
