Want to have a cleaner home or clean your gutters from the ground? With the new breed of robots, it is all possible. Welcome to the age of the Jetsons.
Most of us have heard of the Roomba vacuum cleaning device. It is a little robot that goes around your home vacuuming up the crumbs and then happily returning back to its base, saving you the trouble of sweeping or vacuuming yourself. The company that makes the Roomba, iRobot, now has a whole array of helpful home robots to do a variety of jobs. And, they are all available right now to work in your home.
Here come the robots:
The Roomba, as mentioned above, uses suction and rotating brushes to lift up dust, dirt, crumbs, pet hair and more, as it scoots around your room. The robot brain allows it to navigate under and around furniture, into corners and around edges.
The Scooba takes floor cleaning one step further with a robot that preps, washes, scrubs and squeegees hard floors, so you can forget about mopping. And just like the Roomba, the Scooba can get into those hard to reach places.
The Dirt Dog robot was made to tackle tough work floors, such as in workshops and garages, but it will also work well cleaning outdoor porches. The oversized bin on the Dirt Dog allows it to pick up larger objects, such as nuts, bolts and wood chips.
Verro robots are hands-free units that are self contained and made to clean your pool. They vacuum and filter the water, to save you from all of the work. It takes the Verro about an hour to get your entire pool clean from top to bottom, including the walls.
Home robots are even starting to head outside to help with your backbreaking chores. The Looj robot was made just to clean your gutters. Just give the Looj a boost into the gutter and let it earn its keep. It works with different types of gutters, from standard to aluminum, copper, metal or vinyl.
