Rosie O’Donnell Under Fire for Grabbing Son

Here we go again. Rosie O’Donnell’s back in the headlines for something she says she didn’t do and Donald Trump is there to add his two-cents worth on the entire ordeal.

The latest Rosie rant started last week when The Globe ran a cover story with the headline “Abusive Rosie Bullies Son, 12.”

The photos that accompany the article show an angry O’Donnell in an apparent argument with her pre-teen son Parker (who by the way has grown a LOT since I last saw him—-heck, he’s nearly as tall as Rosie). In one particular shot the former talk show host is shown grabbing the boy by his left arm in an attempt to yank him somewhere.

Naturally, the comedian denied any truth to the tabloid’s headline, and naturally Donald Trump was there to defend the publication.

Shortly after The Globe ran the photos TV’s Access Hollywood speed dialed Trump to get his take on the situation. (Actually, they caught up to the real estate mogul shortly before his company-owned Miss USA pageant aired on NBC.)

No surprise The Donald blasted his nemesis with these remarks:

“Well I think Rosie is a very abusive person,” Trump told Access Hollywood. “She’s a slob and I’m not surprised to see it.”

But the tongue-lashing didn’t end there. Trump used his airtime to sympathize with Rosie’s son.

“I would imagine that being her son is not fun. I know Rosie very well… She’s a very bad person,” Trump added.

Prior to Trump’s repeated digs, O’Donnell’s rep issued a statement from the former “View” moderator saying The Globe’s story was completely contrived and people should place the tabloid at the “bottom of the birdcage.”

Not one to stay mum herself O’Donnell finally broke down over the weekend and addressed the issue on her video blog with her partner and co-parent of the couple’s four children Kelli Carpenter.

“Kelli, come say ‘Hi’ to the bloggers. Honey, come say hi! Are you scared of my abusive parenting ways honey?” Rosie asked, referring to the story.

“Um, no,” Kelli responded to Rosie’s question. “I would assume that any mother [out] there that has a 12 or 13-year-old boy has grabbed him by the arm.”

What’s your take on The Globe’s allegations? Do you think Rosie is a bully as Trump maintains and her anger is affecting her kids?
