Russian Salad Dressing

1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons water
1 cup of vegetable oil
½ cup of ketchup
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon of vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons celery seed
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce

In a saucepan, cook sugar and water until it spins a thread and cool. Combine remaining ingredients. Add syrup; whisk to blend well. Chill thoroughly.
