She was, she wasn’t, and then she did.
Actress Salma Hayek’s waffling on whether or not to marry her gazillionaire boyfriend Francois-Henri Pinault is over. The two officially tied the knot on Valentine’s Day and are reportedly planning to add to their family.
According to reports, the couple, who are parents to a 17-month-old daughter, Valentina, got hitched in an intimate Valentine’s Day wedding ceremony in Paris. The raven-haired beauty reportedly wore white and carried a bouquet of red and white roses. Hayek was surrounded by her mother Diana Jimenez, her brother Sami (who also served as her witness), Valentina, and Pinault’s stepmother, who introduced the pair in 2006.
In March 2007, the 42-year-old actress and the Paris-based mogul, who is reportedly worth an estimated $16.9 billion, announced both their engagement and Hayek’s pregnancy.
The actress gave birth a few months later and the paparazzi prepped for a lavish waterfront wedding. But in July 2008, the couple abruptly called off their engagement and took a break from one another. Then, last fall they were spotted going on romantic dates in L.A., vacationing in Ibiza and strolling through France.
The couple returned to the City of Lights last week to tie the knot, and are now said to be honeymooning in an undisclosed location with their daughter.
The cozy nuptials worked for Hayek and Pinault, but don’t look for Hollywood stud Leonardo DiCaprio to follow suit any time soon.
At least if Bar Refaeli’s dad has his way. According to reports, DiCaprio’s model girlfriend has been banned from marrying outside her faith. This, of course, means that the award-winning actor would have to convert to Judaism if he wants to wed his super hot girlfriend.
According to the New York Daily News, the Titanic star visited Refaeli’s parents during a trip to Israel last year. However, that meeting apparently wasn’t enough to sway the Sports Illustrated cover model’s dad, who refuses to allow any of his daughters to marry anyone other than Jewish suitors.
A source told the New York paper, “If Leo doesn’t convert to Judaism, there will be no marriage.”
There’s hope for us yet, ladies.
