Challenges can sometimes get us to create layouts and work on memories that we might not have done otherwise. It is my favorite part about doing challenges; the ability to think outside the box and get some scrapbooking done at the same time.
Well, today I was sitting on the floor of my scrap area and going through old issues of my scrapbooking magazines. I came across a question in one of them that begged the question “What things in your scraproom make you happy?” “These are the exact kind of questions I like to use for my scrapbook journaling.”, I thought to myself. Perfect for an all about me album.
So I am posing the challenge to all of you. This week’s layout challenge is to take a look around your scrap area, and decide what exactly makes it special. What makes it part of you. What exactly is the thing or things in your scraproom that make you happy? It doesn’t so much have to be about a certain product or a certain type of layout. It could be furniture, the wall color, a knick-knack, a photograph, a layout, an album, or yes – a scrapbooking item or items.
I cannot wait to see what you come up with.
Why do I do these challenges:
I am doing the weekly layout challenge for several reasons. One, I want you to get your photographs out of storage devices and onto your layouts, and two I want to help you brainstorm ideas, as well as use up your stash of supplies. If there is something you would like to see or something that you need to work on that I might be able to incorporate into a challenge, let me know.
