Save Those Beverage Carriers and Put Them To Good Use

Beverage carriers are often found at coffee shops, gas stations and fast food restaurants. Typically they are just tossed in the trash, however these little cardboard carries have additional uses in and around your home.

Using the beverage carriers is easy, but there is something you should do first. Seal the cardboard so you can get it a bit sturdier and allow it to be used for more things.

You can use Modge Podge, a water base sealer, glue and finish to seal your carrier. Just paint it all over the carrier and allow it to dry. It makes the cardboard sturdier, as well as giving it an additional advantage – it can now get damp.

You can also paint it and decorate it, depending on its use and then seal it to have it last longer.

Cardboard Beverage Carriers can be used all over the house, here are some ideas:

  • You can use the carrier to cart stuff around your home.
  • Cleaning supplies are great in here, and are easier to get from room to room this way.
  • Organize crayons, markers and other art supplies. You could have one for each type of craft – paint brushes and water colors in one, erasers and colored pencils in another.
  • Office supplies are wonderfully organized using a beverage carrier. Pens and pencils, staples and paper clips all fit well into the little compartments.
  • Children can use them to store hair accessories, make up, small toys and more.
  • Use them to organize baby bottles and supplies on your kitchen counter.
  • Paint and decorate the carrier and place artificial flowers in each compartment. A beautiful centerpiece emerges at the end.
  • For picnics or simply setting the table, silverware is organized within each compartment, napkins and other supplies. This is makes five trips to the kitchen completed in one easy step.
  • Keep one on your desk to store pens and pencils, eyeglasses, scissors, stamps, a small phone book and more.

Honestly the ideas are endless. Can you think of a great way to use this item? Please share in the comments field and check out my blog for more great money saving tips!
