I love a bargain. I love to save where I can. I love clipping coupons and am excited to find them in the Sunday paper or with the circulars in the mail. I have a great filing system for my coupons, but unfortunately all too often forget to use them before they expire or don’t have them with me when I need them. I often wonder if I would save more by buying the items that the coupons are for instead of just clipping coupons for items I typically buy.
Today I went on a shopping trip at Buy Buy Baby. Now that I’m a parent, Buy Buy Baby is my candy or toy store. I want it all. I had a number of coupons for dollars or percentages off. I was heartbroken that I had so many that had expired, but I still was able to save with the coupons I had that were still good.
There are a number of online sites that offer coupons and rebates for online stores. To take advantage of the offers, you have to connect to the etailer through the rebate site. My favorites are ebates.com and Add It Up, which is through my bank. The savings or rebates are not huge but every little bit helps, especially when I was going to make the purchase anyway.
I have a new site that I am learning to explore and appreciate: groupon.com. Groupon alerts you to daily deals and specials in your area. Having all this information in one handy place is not only convenient but will also introduce the user to services he may not be aware of. And groupon.com has done all the work for find those deals for us.
