Scary Parents

There’s only one word to describe the rumor, which claims that Jon Gosselin is planning to write a book on parenting—-SCARY!!

The ultimate bad dad penning a tell-all about the lessons he has learned as the father of a large and famous family? Spare me!

For the record, shortly after the rumor that Gosselin and leadership coach Dr. Sylvia Lafair planned to team up to write the alleged parenting book detailing the trials and tribulations that come with raising twin girls and spirited sextuplets, the former TLC reality TV star took to Twitter to share this:

“Just to clear the air, I am not writing a parenting book. I am not at liberty to discuss what my book is about yet.”

Translation: Given the vicious attacks I received following my plan to write a parenting book about what a stand-up father I am and how other moms and dads in similar situations can learn from me, I guess it’s back to the drawing board.

Seriously, what in the world could a sane parent who has even half a brain learn from Jon Gosselin? How not to conduct oneself during a divorce? How not to ditch your kids to travel around the world with a much younger girlfriend, party all night and get a huge tattoo that covers your entire back?

Maybe Gosselin’s book should cover the finer points of how to extort the mother of your children.

According to Gosselin’s ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman, the proud pop tried to extort between $50,000 and $100,000 from his ex-wife Kate by threatening to report her to Child Protective Services if she didn’t cough up the cash.

But here’s the thing: Gosselin’s plan actually worked.

Glassman told Radar Online in a story posted on its website that Gosselin twice threatened to report Kate to CPS.

“He wrote down what he wanted to say to her and then he read from his notes,” Glassman told the website. “He told her ‘You either give me money, or I’m going to call CPS.'”

And guess what? Kate paid her ex to stay mum on both occasions.

Which begs the question, if Gosselin has been so successful with his extortion plots, why would he even need to write a book about parenting?
