Have you ever wondered why some scrapbookers scrapbook their photographs chronologically? Or maybe you wonder why some scrapbookers only use one photograph on a 12 x 12 layout. We all wonder why people that do things differently than us, do them that way to begin with.
There is not an answer I can give you. I don’t know why some people love twelve pictures on a layout and some only like one. I also don’t know why some people scrapbook in order, as the events occurred, and why others scrapbook themes, or anytime they feel like it.
Have you ever tried scrapbooking in a new way? Have you ever tried the opposite of what you do? It is a scary thought I’m sure. If you typically use loads of photographs on a layout, try using just one. Why not pick your favorite photograph of all time. Journal about why it’s your favorite.
If you normally scrapbook chronologically, can you imagine changing how you do it from now on? It is not as hard as you think, and can actually be liberating and freeing. Now you can scrapbook whatever you want, however you want and enjoy it now rather than when the album is finally “caught up”.
Everyone talks about thinking outside the box. Well, when it comes to layouts and creativity, it all goes hand in hand. But maybe now would be a good time to not only think outside the box, but try thinking in a whole new way.

I just cannot get into it, but I did give it a try a few times just so I could say I had. Why don’t you do the same thing, and try scrapbooking in a whole new way.
