Summer has finally arrived. The humidity level in the Midwest has made it difficult to enjoy being outdoors during the main daylight hours, so I have tried to play catch up on some scrapbooking. We have also had plenty of events lately that have called for some handmade cards so I have been busy churning those out as well. I will be sharing the How To directions for those in the upcoming week.

School’s officially out for the summer, the children are home full-time, and unless they are in a rigorous camp program, you are bound to be entertaining at some point.
Layout Challenge – Seeing Double
Challenges can sometimes get us to create layouts and work on memories that we might not have done otherwise. It is my favorite part about doing challenges; the ability to think outside the box and get some scrapbooking done at the same time. This week’s challenge is a ‘Seeing Double’ theme.
Enter into a whole new world of scrapbooking. It gives you hope, it helps you have faith and it gives you a new perspective on life and how you choose to live it. It’s called Faithbooking and it has brought people who have never scrapbooked before into the world of cute embellishments and papers.
Father’s day is just creeping up just around the corner. Our dad’s are special people and deserve a special gift for this day. It doesn’t matter if they are a dad, a step-dad or the father of your children, they need to be remembered.
Every scrapbooker dreams of having their own space to sit and create. Some are lucky enough to have a dedicated space, and some have to be content to use closets, share rooms or simply pull it out every time they wish to scrap. Once upon a time, in a land far away.
Memorial day celebrations are plenty. With parades, commemoration ceremonies, flag ceremonies and barbecues, there are many things to take photographs of. Honoring the men and women who lay their lives on the line for us, is an important part of being an American.
