Scrapbooking Withdrawal and How I Conquered It

First I would like to say it is really nice to be back and cozy with my family at families.com. I have missed you all while I took a break in November to get some writing done and other projects. I am happy to be back and look forward to sharing some all new and fun articles to get you on your scrapbooking way.

Now, onto the bigger statement at hand. I suffered from Scrapbooking Withdrawal during all the time. I had absolutely no spare minutes to spend doing one of the things I love to do most. So I felt almost like a brand new scrapbooker when I finally found a few moments to sit down and create a layout. You would think I had taken a year off, and not just a measly few weeks.

So how did I get back into it, and what did I do to conquer it? The first thing I did was spend a bit of time organizing my supplies, going through some of my page kits, sorting through photographs, reminding myself about what embellishments I have and checking out what else I had forgotten I had purchased. You would be so surprised how seeing something you purchased can inspire you to create a beautiful layout.

The next thing I did was take a little bit of time for some inspiration. I had two months worth of scrapbooking magazines that had created a nice little stack and probably accumulated some dust along the way. I sat down and just devoured the information, the beautifully created layouts and yes, I even checked out a bunch of the articles. I’ve received some products to test too, so I plan to implement them into my articles and let you know what I think of the new and latest stuff.

Now I’m back, truly inspired and ready to get to work on some new and informative articles all on my favorite subject – my passion – scrapbooking. You can look forward to some Christmas and Holiday themed articles as well as some new products that have recently hit the shelves. It sure is good to be back!
