It is an unfortunate fact that the United States of America has the highest rate of women with breast cancer in the world. The good news, is that every day there are survivors that can say they beat it. You can join the fight by joining in Scrap Pink Weekend from September 28-30, 2007.
Who wouldn’t love to help others doing something they absolutely love doing? Now you can by simply scrapbooking. How fun! Get together with others, and support an important cause.
The amazing Scrapbooks Etc. magazine has joined with Susan G. Komen for the Cure and many participating scrapbooking stores from all around the country in the first ever Scrap Pink Weekend. It will be so much fun while helping to spread the word and support a worthy cause. So what is it?
The Scrap Pink Weekend is a full weekend of cropping. Stores from around the country will host workshops and crops to help raise money for breast cancer education and research. Some are even hosting all nighters to get you really active and involved.
Everyone and anyone is invited to attend, scrapbookers of all ages and abilities.
Bring a friend or two and have loads of fun. All you need to bring are your photographs, a desire to spend some time scrapbooking and hanging out with other terrific women, and a few items to scrap with. Check your store for what they provide. Stores will be offering prizes, and other incentives to get you participating and helping to support such an amazing cause.
A portion of all crop fees will go directly to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s mission.
This is your chance to help make a difference and fight breast cancer. Let’s increase awareness together and support the educational and research efforts. I hope I see you there!
