Valentine’s Day is all about showing the ones you love how much you care. What better way to do that then by using your scrapbooking supplies to make something for your Valentine? Here are a few ideas to help you get your inner cupid going.
* Create a Fairytale mini scrapbook about how you met your significant other. Write it in a way, where it reads like a fairytale. Once upon a time….
Include pictures of the two of you together during the dating years, and make it all about how you met and fell in love. Don’t forget to end with “Happily Ever After”
* Make a picture frame using your scrapping supplies. Customize it by putting both of your names on it with alphabets. Something like, “John + Kelly = Forever” would be a cute idea. Use your scraps to create an original frame, and put your favorite picture of the two of you together in it.
* Help your child make their own Valentine’s Day cards for school. Your child will have a blast using your scraps, and stickers that you may have leftover. Using the letter X and O from your alphabet stickers is a great way to add embellishment to the cards.
* Draw a large heart on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of white paper. Inside the heart, spell out words that describe your relationship with your Valentine, or special inside jokes you might have together. Words like Love, Friend, Forever would also be great to include. Mix and match your alphabet stickers to give it a scrappier look. Frame it to give it a more finished look.
*Bake some cupcakes. Decorate them with red and white icing. Put a popsicle stick in each one. At the end of each stick, use your papers and alphabets to spell our your Valentine’s name, or I Love You, or some other cute lovey dovey message.
The possibilities are endless. You really can use your scrapbooking supplies for creating something unique and special for your Valentine this year!
