Oops, he did it again!
Two times may be the charm for Sean Penn, who seems intent on getting rid of his wife Robin Wright Penn.
For the second time in two years, the double Oscar winner has filed for separation from his actress wife.
According to TV’s “Extra,” Penn filed legal papers last Friday, just three days shy of the couple’s 13th wedding anniversary. The actor is asking the court to grant him joint custody of the pair’s two children Dylan and Hopper.
Penn and Wright married in 1996. In December 2007 Penn filed for legal separation, was photographed canoodling with another woman, but reconciled with Robin in April 2008.
So much for that reconciliation.
Another quasi-celeb whose name is often mentioned in the same sentence as “divorce” is Jon Gosselin.
The “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star is once again going on the defensive, after Us Magazine ran shots of him exiting a bar with a “mystery” woman.
Interestingly, Jon’s female companion was not the same buxom college-coed that he was linked with a few months ago.
According to Us, Gosselin was reportedly partying at a bar near his new $1.2 million mansion in Wernersville, Pennsylvania last week. Sources say the dad of 5-year-old sextuplets and 8-year-old twins, showed up solo shortly after 11 p.m., but by 2 a.m. “could barely walk” as he exited the back entrance with Madame X.
In an effort to stave off rumors (and his irate wife), Gosselin reportedly emailed Us Magazine, saying: “A friend of mine wanted to check out my car, so I let her drive it to her car. Yes, I have female friends — but that is all she is. I’m not going to end my friendships just because I’m on TV.”
Jon Gosselin has friends?
That’s good, because at the rate he keeps popping up in the tabloids, he’s going to need them when Kate gives him the boot.
