I have been on a search for the right supplements. Now that I am in my 40’s I seem to be taking my health a bit more seriously and I am more concerned about looking younger. I just want to look and feel as good as I can.
If you are looking for the top ten supplements, you are probably on the same kind of search that I am on. Our reasons for doing it might be different but the need to find what is right is the same.
One of the first supplements that I began taking is Omega-3 Fatty Acids. The benefits to this are numerous. My primary concern was heart disease, knowing that this is the number one killer for women in the United States. Sometimes family history can help you better understand your chances of developing certain conditions.
However, on both my mother and father’s side, there were a few early deaths that were due to non-medical reasons. So I don’t have a very definite grasp on what my family’s medical history is. I don’t want to take any chances and I have read enough to know that Omega-3 Fatty Acids is very beneficial.
Another supplement that I take is Vitamin C. That has actually been part of my diet for many years now. Not only can it build your immune system and ward off colds but it has also been found to help with iron levels. In years past I was anemic and although it doesn’t seem to be an issue anymore I still like to take precautions.
Calcium is the latest supplement that I have decided to introduce into my diet. Although from what I have read, it should be taken while you are still young. I figure it can’t hurt to be introduced into my supplement regime. As I get older I know my bones could become frailer so I want to avoid any problems in that area.
Searching for the right supplements means taking those that will help with whatever concerns or symptoms you may be experiencing. Taking something just because everyone else does is not a very good idea. Make sure you spend time researching the supplement and that it is something you would really benefit from.
