Share Your Money Dreams

What are some of your money dreams? I asked around and came up with this list… feel free to add some of your own!

The ability to quit work and stay home with your kids. Believe it or not, both men and women wish for this dream. Some men want it for their family; others want it for them too. Having one parent home can save money on childcare and make everyone’s life less frantic, but it is also tough to lose one whole income.

To buy your first home or condo. Often coming up with the financial means to buy that first home is the most difficult. In addition, depending on what part of the country you live in, many homes in the recent years have skyrocketed in price.

Pay off debt. Most people can easily see that if they can completely buy down their debt, it will open up additional money in their budget. It also takes some stress off and many times will help your credit score in the process.

Retire young. The sooner you start saving for your retirement and the more you can stash away… often the earlier you can retire. Getting out of your career in earlier years will often make it easier to enjoy your retirement, as you are younger, healthier, and more agile.

Pay for college. This can be a dream you can have for yourself or your children. The cost of education is extremely expensive and difficult for many people to afford. Take advantage of many special tax-free programs to help make this dream come true.

Plan a special vacation. Whether it is a lifelong dream to sail around the world or travel to Europe, the cost of vacation can often seem like too much of a luxury. Try and budget a little each month into this dream fund… and it just may become a reality some day!
