Share Your Testimony

How often do you share your testimony? I think it is easy to think of only sharing your testimony when you stand up during a testimony meeting or at the end of a lesson that you are teaching. It is important to bear your testimony during these times, but it is also important that you share your testimony on a regular basis with those around you. Here are three ways that you can share your testimony of the Savior and the gospel with those around you.

1) One easy way to share your testimony is in the way that you treat others. As you show kindness, and are forgiving of others faults, you are emulating qualities that the Savior had. As we strive to live the lives the Savior wants us to, we will reach out and help others. They may learn of the Savior’s love for them through your actions.

2) Take time to share your testimony with your family on a daily basis. When you gather together and hold family prayer and scripture study, you show your children how important the gospel is to you. When you follow the counsel of the prophet, your children learn that you truly believe that he is the prophet. You can also bear your testimony when your children come to you with concerns or trials.

3) You can share your testimony by living it fully. This means living a life full of integrity. It means putting the most important things first, and caring for others. As you live your life this way others will notice the peace that you have and ask you about it. You can then bear testimony to them of the Savior and the gospel.

It is important that you continue to bear your testimony in church when you feel prompted to do so. This will help your testimony to grow, as well as others in the congregation. You may also want to share your testimony with the Lord when you pray. This is a wonderful way to give thanks for the many blessings in your life.
