Are you looking for a great gift for your wife, fiancé, or girlfriend? You know you want to give her something special, but maybe you’re not quite sure what that is. While some men are fantastic at picking out the perfect gift, others have a little more trouble with it. The best advice I can give you (as a woman myself) is to choose something that is especially for her.
I’ve mentioned before that vacuum cleaners don’t count as gifts, unless that’s what she specifically asks for, but let me clarify… that also goes for other implements and small appliances as well. Unless she specifically acts for something for the home, you probably shouldn’t don’t go there. Pick out something that is just for her. For example, a vacuum might make her feel like the maid, but maid service for a year will make her feel like a princess.
A good tip to keep in mind is that most women like to be pampered. Items that make her feel pampered will generally be well received. A trip to a day spa or an appointment for a great massage will make most women smile. Aromatherapy products, lotions, bath salts, bath sponges, and quality perfume can be nice too. Choose small decorative packages to go along with other gifts or choose individual items. If you pick up a giant shrink-wrapped basket of bath items and think, “Cool, I’m done,” you’re probably not going to be thrilled by her response.
Take a moment to think about the woman you love. What are her interests, favorite colors, favorite flavors? Who is her favorite author? What is her favorite band? If you listen closely, she’ll probably drop a few hints along the way. Even if you hate to shop, just spend a little extra time picking out a few thoughtful items. It really isn’t as difficult as it might seem. Personal, thoughtful gifts make the woman in your life feel special, and it will definitely be worth it when you see the look in her eyes when she opens your gift.
