Simpson Updates: Can’t Keep Homer Down and Can’t Keep Ashlee’s Mouth Shut

CAN’T KEEP HOMER DOWN

Maybe Homer, Bart and Lisa are part cat because they’re baaack on Venezuelan TV after being axed less than two weeks ago.

According to local news reports, “The Simpsons” animated series has returned to Venezuelan TV in a new time slot after regulators yanked it from the air earlier this month.

The long running Fox series returned to Venezuelan airwaves Wednesday at 7 p.m. and will now be shown at that time each week. It was airing each day at 11 a.m. before executives with the National Telecommunications Commission said it violated regulations to protect children.

As I noted in my previous blog “The Simpsons” morning time slot was filled with “Baywatch Hawaii,” featuring, ironically enough, half naked male lifeguards and buxom blondes.

CAN’T KEEP SIMPSON’S MOUTH SHUT

First, she wouldn’t comment. Then, her fiancé Pete Wentz went on the defensive. The following day during an interview with MTV she maintained, “Some things you want to keep personal.” And just a few hours ago on NBC’s “Today” show singer Ashlee Simpson remained mum on pregnancy rumors saying “Only time will tell on that.”

Apparently, Simpson is enrolled in Jennifer Lopez’s seminar on how to deal with the pregnancy buzz—Dodging the Pregnancy Question 101… I think that’s the course’s official name.

Regardless, don’t feel too sorry for Jessica’s baby sis. After all, she and her baby’s daddy may have been responsible for fueling pregnancy rumors. Turns out the newly engaged couple created a video that spoofed her baby bump earlier this week.

In the online video the pop star is seen gobbling snacks while lying in bed, boasting a fake baby belly. Towards the end of the clip Wentz appears on camera and the two reveal the pregnancy is a hoax.

Wonder if she learned that from Lopez?
