Sizzling Hot Super Bowl Ribs and Other Tasty Game Day Treats

The countdown to the big game is on and even if you can’t make it to Tampa in time for kick off you can still make it a Super Bowl to remember by whipping up the following mouthwatering recipes:

SIZZLING HOT SUPER BOWL RIBS

Ingredients:

Baby back ribs

Your favorite rib rub

BBQ sauce

Fresh lemon juice

Olive oil

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Place ribs on heavy-duty foil.

Drizzle with olive oil and squeeze fresh lemon juice on top of ribs. Sprinkle generously both sides of ribs with your favorite rib rub or with a mixture of salt, pepper, sugar and paprika.

Seal foil packet tightly.

Place aluminum package of ribs on jelly roll pan in oven.

Bake 2 to 3 hours, until tender.

Open foil packets, spoon favorite BBQ sauce on top of each packet of ribs.

Turn up oven to 375 degrees and bake ribs uncovered for another 30 to 45 minutes until they get brown on top.

SPICY CRAB DIP

Ingredients:

1 pound lump crabmeat

2 cups shredded Pepper jack cheese

8 ounces cream cheese

1/4 cup Tabasco jalapeno pepper sauce

Milk

Bread Crumbs

1/2 cup Parmigiano-reggiano cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a saucepan, combine the first 5 ingredients and melt the cream cheese. Add milk to create desired consistency.

Place in a shallow 8×10-baking dish and top with breadcrumbs and Parmigiano cheese.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.

Serve with tortilla chips or French bread.

GAME DAY CHEESE BALL

Ingredients:

1 Package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/3 cup pitted black olives, coarsely chopped

1 teaspoon celery salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

Combine all of the ingredients except the pecans.

Shape into a ball and roll in the pecans.

Wrap in waxed paper and chill.

Serve with crackers.
