It’s probably not hard to tell how much I love my iPhone. I blog about my iPhone a lot. There is so much this smart phone can do and I do a lot with it. I think there’s an app for just about everything. So what are some of the best apps for saving?
Shopkick
This is more of a rewards program than a savings program. It’s free for the iPhone and looks like fun. When you go into a participating store, check in to Shopkick to earn Kickbucks for later use.
Holiday Gift Guide
This free iPhone app will tell you what the hot items are this holiday season and where to get them at the best prices.
Cardmobili
Tired of carrying all the different store cards, loyalty cards, and savings cards you have in your wallet? Load them into this free app for iPhone, Blackberry, and Android.
Foursquare
This free app for iPhone, Blackberry, and Android allows the user to check in at any venue. There are no real rewards, but many merchants offer specials for check-ins. This one is my favorite. I check in everywhere. I see the notation for nearby specials frequently.
AAA Discounts
Are you a AAA member? Always know what discounts are available to you with this free iPhone app.
Cellfire
Instead of clipping coupons and taking them with you when you go shopping, you download them from the app or website to your grocery store’s loyalty card (see Cardmbili above) and the coupon savings are deducted when you swipe your card. The app would be awesome, if the user could somehow select the desired coupons in the app and then show the app at the store.
There are so many great apps out there. I love that users leave feedback so I know whether to even bother downloading the app.
