Snacking in a Nutty Way with Blue Diamond

Almonds are my focus this week due to the amazing health benefits and my love for nuts. I also have a love for crunchy salty snacks while I type or watch movie. If the snack can be healthy and fun that is a win win situation. Since being introduced to almond snacks I have been hooked. I have been a long fan of Blue Diamond over roasted almonds. The butter toffee are so good, I cannot buy them because I will eat every last one in a time so short I’m embarrassed to mention.

Why do I love almonds?

First, almonds taste great. They have many applications from eating them raw to roasted to adding them in salads or side dishes. Secondly, they are very healthy for you containing many nutrients most notably iron and calcium. Almonds pack a large amount of nutrition in a tiny package.

My new favorite crunchy almond themed snacks are…..

Nut Thins and Nut Chips by Blue Diamond.

For years I have been eating Blue Diamond almonds and a about a year ago I started drinking Almond Breeze. Oddly, I never took note the two products were related. But the consistent taste and quality makes sense. Recently, I found out about two more products to curb snacking and also by none other than Blue Diamond. I am a bit biased from my years of eating their almonds so I believe them to be an authority in almonds. I guess we all have our brand loyalty. But, these new products are just amazing!

Nut Thins: Comes in eight different flavors: BBQ, Hint of Sea Salt, Almond, Hazelnut, Pecan, Smokehouse, Cheddar Cheese, and Country Ranch. The Nut Thins are gluten free and contain no MSG. The thins are crunchy, light, and taste great! A healthy snack alternative unless you eat the whole bag in one sitting like my daughter and I did.

Nut Chips: Comes in three different flavors: Nacho, Sea Salt and Sour Cream and Chive. No soy or MSG. The chips are crunchy and a perfect pair with salsa, hummus or other low fat dips. Of course they are quite additive on their own.
