Ok so the man you love has been diagnosed with testicular cancer and you are wondering what to do next. I can just tell you what we did.
My husband noticed his “problem” at night on a Wednesday and we called the same urologist that had performed his vasectomy 6 months before and he got him the very next morning. Again IF your man is in pain go to the ER and get checked because it could be the “tubes” going there are twisted and if they untwist quick enough you will avoid damage.
When we saw the urologist he sent him over to the hospital for an emergency ultra sound. I already told you about what the procedure is for that. The urologist put a STAT on the report so he said as soon as my hubby was done with the test we went right back to the urologist who already had the report in his hand.
Now I have never seen an ultrasound of the testicle before but I could tell it was not good. One was solid black on the ultrasound (that was the one with cancer). When we met with the urologist he told us it was definitely not a cyst and was a tumor. The only thing he could not tell us was if it was malignant (cancer) or benign (not cancer). He said that if it was him he would get it taken out as soon as possible and he asked if we wanted to do surgery the very next day. We said yes of course because if it is cancer why keep it in any longer than necessary. He told us he would get surgery done the next day whether he had to cancel office appointments, due it during lunch or at night. Have to say I love this doctor.
