Salma Hayek got her man, but she didn’t get the fairytale wedding she wanted… until today.
The actress and her husband, French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, got hitched for the first time on Valentine’s Day in a short, but sweet civil ceremony in Paris. Apparently, the marriage has gone so well, the couple decided to celebrate their nuptials all over again, but this time they spared no expense for the lavish shindig.
Wedding No.2 reportedly took place in Venice, Italy and featured a designer dress (Balenciaga), millions of dollars worth of jeweled accessories, thousands of flowers, and a star-studded guest list, which included Penelope Cruz, Edward Norton, Woody Harrelson, Olivier Martinez, Luis Miguel, Ashley Judd, Charlize Theron, Stuart Townsend, Bono, Gael García Bernal, Enrique Murciano, David Blaine, Ziyi Zhang, Anna Wintour and former French President Jacques Chirac.
The black-tie affair also featured Hayek and Pinault’s 19-month-old daughter Valentina Paloma, who served as a flower girl and walked up the aisle with Pinault’s son and daughter from his first marriage, Francois, 10 and Mathilde, 8.
Another couple exchanging vows for a second time was “The Hills” quasi-stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. The reality TV couple wed earlier this evening at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, California.
The church ceremony follows a bogus wedding the two media hogs staged in Mexico a few months ago.
According to PEOPLE magazine, 22-year-old Montag and 25-year-old Pratt exchanged vows before 200 guests, including their reality TV posse, which consists of Audrina Patridge, Kristin Cavallari, Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado.
The bride reportedly wore more than a million dollars worth of jewels from Neil Lane, including a pear-shaped diamond floral necklace with multiple diamond chains layered over it, diamond earrings and diamond hairpins.
PEOPLE is also reporting that the entire service was filmed for an upcoming episode of MTV’s “The Hills.”
After the ceremony, the newlyweds entered a black Rolls Royce Phantom and sped off to their reception at Social Hollywood where they reportedly downed chicken salad and fruity cocktails.
No word on what Vegas oddsmakers have to say about the longevity of Montag and Pratt’s union.
