NPR has an episode of “Morning Edition” that was released on February 27, 2012. This episode is called “New Methods Could Speed Up Repair Of Injured Nerves”. Scientists have developed a technique that reconnects severed ends of a nerve. This allows it to begin carrying messages again very quickly. This technique might someday help people who have suffered nerve injuries.

NPR has an episode of “Morning Edition” that was released on March 2, 2012. This episode is called “’Life Is Really Good.’ Says Cancer Survivor, 12”. The episode features twelve year old Grant Coursey, and his mother, Jennifer. Grant was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when he was sixteen months old. Now, he is cancer free. The two talk about his experiences.

The Coffee Klatch has an episode that was released on March 4, 2012. This episode is called “Dr Duncan McKinlay – Nix Your Tics”. This episode features Dr. B. Duncan McKinlay, who is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. He practices with children and adolescents in the areas of clinical and school psychology.

He was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome when he was nineteen, but knew that he had a “secret” by age seven. His book is called “Nix Your Tics”, and it gives a rare glimpse into Tourette Syndrome.

CNN has an episode of Dr. Sanjay Gupta MD that was released on February 28, 2012. This episode is called “Inside the mind of an addict”. One in ten Americans is addicted to drugs, alcohol, or prescription medications. Dr. Gupta takes in depth look at addiction.

The Parent’s Journal has an episode that was released on February 27, 2012. This episode is called “Parenting a Child Who is Gifted”. This episode features James Webb, who is the author of a book called “A Parents Guide to Gifted Children”.

Raising Arizona Kids Magazine has an episode called “A conversation with Kaitlin MacKay”. She talks about her personal healing journey after receiving a serious traumatic brain injury when she was hit by a car in an intersection near her college in San Luis Obispo, California.
