Spending Time With My Sister Part II

On day two of our visit we awoke fairly early (probably due to the time difference) and I, of course, was starving. I had brought a cooler full of food with us, particularly breakfast food items for my daily three egg omelet. It was not apparent yet that my sister and her husband were awake yet so I prepared breakfast for my son and I during which our hosts awoke with their baby daughter! While my son and I ate our breakfast, the baby also had her breakfast and my sister’s husband made breakfast for the two of them. The adults had a conversation about the importance of protein for breakfast.

After breakfast is when I normally exercise. Both my brother-in-law and sister were up for a morning workout so we did a dance cardio workout (the one that I can easily modify). Not even midway through the baby awoke from her very short morning nap and daddy generously stopped exercising so that my sister and I could finish (my son was happily playing with the baby’s toys). Following showers, we made plans for the rest of the day.

My sister’s husband headed off to run some errands. Meanwhile we made some lunch and enjoyed some good conversation! It is so nice to just sit around with my sister and talk!

We had made plans to go out on our own errands, but the baby had other plans, she wanted to eat. She is a cluster feeder just like my son was so a nursing session can take up to an hour! Our plans were only delayed. As soon as my brother-in-law returned, our plans were back in motion.

We made our way to one of the local malls. I was particularly interested to shop at a different mall in a different city. The things on my agenda of course were much different than my sister’s and her husband’s. While he looked at dress shirts for work and she looked at new post pregnancy jeans, I was looking for baby clothes (although I am looking forward to buying post pregnancy jeans!). We stopped at different boutiques and every one’s shopping needs were met. I even found a baby girl’s dress that had sold out at the boutique in my city, and it was a clearance!
After our shopping adventures, we returned to my sister’s apartment. The baby settled into another long nursing session and my sister’s husband made dinner (all by himself without asking a single question … impressive!). We enjoyed another healthy meal and more good conversation!
