SPLITTING
Don’t look at Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, the handsome duo say they aren’t responsible for the split between Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman.
The late-night TV host and his funny gal ladylove of five years just confirmed that they are no longer a couple much to the chagrin of a few magazine publishers who had pegged the two as one of the most solid couples in Hollywood.
Insiders say the parting of ways comes on the heels of 39-year-old Kimmel’s admission that he would like to be a father “some day soon.” Silverman, 37, has long joked that she is not “mommy material.”
While they may not have shared the same goals as far as children were concerned Silverman and Kimmel certainly shared the same sense of humor.
A few months ago their dueling videos starring Damon and Affleck became the hottest clips on the Internet. Silverman’s video featured her and Damon singing about their fake love affair. A few weeks later Kimmel struck back creating his own celebrity-filled video declaring his love for Damon’s best friend, Affleck.
QUITTING
He came, he loved, and now he’s gone.
Christopher Gorham has jumped ship, ditching his gig at ABC’s hit show “Ugly Betty” and hightailing it to CBS to join the cast of the horror drama “Harper’s Island.”
According to Hollywood Reporter, Gorham has officially quit the ABC series after just one season.
For those of you who don’t watch the show, Gorham played lead character Betty’s (played by America Ferrara) love interest, Henry Grubstick. Gorham’s character was involved in a major storyline on the popular show and I can’t imagine what producers are planning to do now that the actor has decided to take a hike.
Season two ended with a cliffhanger that had Betty choosing between Gorham’s character and rival potential lover Gio, played by Freddy Rodriguez.
One insider says that producers scrambled to hire a new actor to play Betty’s love interest. Actor Val Emmich has reportedly been cast to replace Gorham as Betty’s new suitor and Rodriguez is not expected to make an immediate comeback.
