Spring Forward to Action 2006 – The Index

For those of you who weren’t with us last year, we hosted the Spring Forward to Action Challenge beginning when the clocks rolled forward. At the time, it was a pretty ambitious project for myself. Families.com was finding its legs and I was just catching my own stride here in the fitness blog. I enjoyed last year’s challenge and I’m hoping to make this year’s challenge as fun!

Here’s an index of our Spring Forward to Action 2006 Fitness Plan. It’s got legs and if you’re up for the challenge feel free to use this one because it has more detailed workouts than what I’ll be doing for our 2007 Challenge. This year’s challenge is going to focus on endurance and rebuilding – it’s also going to be more of a starter workout for beginners and for people returning to their workout after an extended break.

What was the Spring Forward to Action Challenge in 2006?

The fitness challenge began with the following breakdown:

The idea was to create goals and accountability prior to designing a method and a plan. We set the dates and we created the workout from scratch. There was a lot of cardio training in this challenge and we were sure to incorporate rest, strength training and flexibility. The idea was that by the time you finished this 30 day challenge you’d be in a much better place than you were when it started and that’s always a great goal especially as we head into swimsuit season and summer sports.

The following is an index of the 30 day challenge for those of you interested in checking it out:

Did you join us for last year’s Spring Forward to Action 30-Day Challenge? Are you ready for this year’s?
