Spring break is fast approaching (in fact, some college coeds began their break last Friday), which means millions of families will be hitting the highways or jetting off to celebrate a week of school-free days.
If your travel plans include a pit stop in a Hawaiian paradise there are some incredible bargains you should be aware of. For example:
The Star of Honolulu is offering an Easter lunch cruise on March 23rd from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 23rd. The trip departs from Aloha Tower Marketplace, Pier 8 and caters to families who want to spend the holiday enjoying a sunny afternoon on the water with coastline views. In addition to the breathtaking sights (it’s whale watching season in Hawaii so you should expect to see a few humpback whales on your trip), you will also enjoy a lunch buffet featuring roast beef, ham and Easter cake. Other highlights include hands-on Hawaiian cultural activities, an Easter egg hunt on deck, and prize giveaways for children. The cost for adults is $50 and $25 for children ages 3 to 11.
If you plan to island hop while you are visiting the Aloha State consider this next deal: On the Hawaiian Island of Kauai the Hanalei Colony Resort (a small, intimate beach resort on the island’s north shore) is offering a Spring Special of 20% off rack rates for travel during the months of April and May. Rack rates during that period range from $240 per night for a two-bedroom Garden View condominium to $375 for a two-bedroom Premium Ocean Front unit. The Spring Special is available for stays from April 1 to May 31 and cannot be combined with any other discounts.
The resort is also offering an Explore Napali Package during the same time period. The package is designed for active travelers and includes five or seven nights in a two-bedroom Ocean View condo, a two-hour guided tour of historic Limahuli Garden, a kayak for a day on the Hanalei River, an in-room or beachfront massage for two, a guidebook on hiking Kauai’s trails, and a hiking gift.
The five-night package price runs $1,865 while the price for the seven-night package is $2,150. A rental car can be arranged through the resort, as well, for an additional fee. Package prices are based on double occupancy.
