Stay At Home Husbands

Many women are now career women. A lot of women actually enjoy being out in the workforce. Let’s face it some women are not designed to be stuck in the house with chores and children. While some of us love it, it just is not for everyone. Thankfully now, it does not have to be that way.

While it was once unheard of, now more and more men are becoming stay at home dads and husbands. Daddy Day Care gave light into the fact that indeed men can stay home and be the caregiver and chores man.

A few years ago a stay at home dad would be thought of to be a jobless loser. However now things are slowly changing. This is a good sign for couples. There are recently more options than there once were.

Some women simply have better careers than their husbands. So why should the woman have to give up her career and sacrifice living on her husband’s salary to stay home and take care of the children? It would make much more since for the partner with the smaller salary and less stable job to quit and stay at home.

While having your husband stay at home and take care of the children is more appealing to men than it once was, it is still not without argument and negotiations.

In a lot of cases, the man becomes the stay at home caregiver by accident. He either loses his job or gets laid off and the wife has to move out into the workforce. He then takes on all of the things that she once did at home. This position often leads to more controversy and argument than those husbands who plan to stay at home. Planning for having your husband stay at home before the baby is ever born often leads to less trouble.
