There are so many uses for coffee cans around the house, that I am still writing articles about it! Coffee cans are extremely versatile, since they come in so many shapes, sizes and colors.
Continuing on with my series of articles on coffee cans and what they are used for, I still have several more ideas for you.
Grocery Bag Catcher
Do you have a nice stash of those plastic grocery bags that every store now puts your purchases in? If so, place them inside the coffee can for a convenient and easy to access storage idea. You can also cut a slit or “x” in the lid of the coffee can so you can pull them through, however I’ve had some difficulty getting the next one to come out. The storage idea is helpful though.
Pocket “Treasures” Laundry Storage
Place an empty coffee can near your laundry as you are putting it in the washing machine. As you clean out pockets and find “treasures” along the way you can fill the can up with these treasures. Buttons that fall off, change, toys, etc. Once a month or so, go through the can and dump what nobody is looking for or seems more like trash.
Belt Storage
I have a ton of belts. I am not really sure why, but it seems that many of the clothes I buy come with decorative belts and I don’t really wear them to often. I don’t however wish to throw them out, but I needed a good storage idea. You can coil the belts and store them in a coffee can. The coffee can is small and convenient and fits right on the closet shelf or even the floor of the closet out of the way not taking up much space.
Toy Bucket
Coffee cans are great for kids. They can use them to store cars and trucks, or other small items. They can decorate them and use them for crafts. They can even take them to the beach with them and use them for making sandcastles, etc.
Can you think of any other ways to use these wonderful trash-to-treasure items?
