*Pink around the Rink
*Pinkie Promise
*The Pinkerrific Playdate
*The Princess of Pink Slumber Party
School Rules! and Pink Around the Rink are among my daughter’s favorite Pinkalicious adventures; however, in my opinion, they pale in comparison to:
The Princess of Pink Slumber Party: In this sweet story our pretty pink heroine hosts a princess-themed slumber party complete with creative costumes. Mom and Dad don king and queen getups while little brother Peter dresses up like a prince, or as Pink put it: “A royal joker.” Pink and her wannabe princess pals dance, sing and craft the night away. When they are done playing musical thrones and embellishing homemade tiaras with glitter, gems and sequins, the girls indulge in Princess-and-the-Split-Pea Soup, Chicken Nuggets ala King and Castle Cupcakes. Unfortunately, when it comes time to go to sleep the slumber party hits a snag. I won’t give away the ending, but I’m sure your little prince or princess will be delighted to meet the shindig’s secret guest who makes an appearance when one of Pink’s friends wants to split before sunrise.
Pinkie Promise: In this tantalizing tale pink paint takes center stage. Pink uses it all up and breaks a promise to her pal Alison in the process. Cue the high drama. Alison gets upset, Pink turns blue, and for a while, things are less than rosy in our main character’s saccharine sweet world. Your young reader will be on the edge of her seat as she sees how the two BFFs use their baby fingers to make-up and get their friendship back on track.
The Pinkerrific Playdate: Rose is the new girl at school. She and Pink instantly hit it off and soon Rose is invited to a pinkerrific playdate at Casa de Rosado. The girls keep busy making friendship bracelets, baking and hula hooping. It seems like the perfect playdate, until Pink’s little brother Peter wants in on the fun. Many pint-sized Pink fans will be able to relate to this sibling saga. Fortunately, Pink and Rose find a way to salvage their playdate without Peter spoiling their girly good time.
The entire Pinkalicious: Pink-a-Rama box set is available on HarperCollins’ website and in select book stores nationwide.
