You’ve found the perfect photos of your summer vacation to feature in a super scrapbook spread. In addition, you purchased an amazing set of stickers, stamps and die cuts to further embellish your seasonal layout, yet something is still missing.
Mementos? Nope. Frames? Negative.
What you’re missing is a title that will turn heads and make your page design even more attractive. Fortunately, there are a variety of ways you can create an eye-popping page title. The Internet is teeming with free fonts that can add spice to summer-themed layouts. In addition, you could use letter stickers or cut-out words from books and magazines to craft a ransom note look, or simple put your calligraphy skills to work.
Your next task is to come up with just the right sayings to sum up the contents of your layout. That’s a real challenge for scrapbookers, who have a knack for arranging pages, but don’t necessarily treasure the times they have to exercise creativity in the writing department.
Remember, page titles are often the first thing viewers look at when they are looking through a scrapbook. While you want your title to stand-out, you don’t want it to overwhelm a page and distract from the photos, keepsakes and embellishments. Keep your title simple and direct, but appealing. Consider employing alliterations or rhyming words, but above all, make sure your title properly describes the items you are showcasing on the page.
