Summer Travel Savings: Beach Bargains in Belize

If you are looking to jet off to a tropical locale this summer, but can’t afford to miss a mortgage payment to fund your vacation then consider the following deals to Central America. The country known for its lush rainforests and exotic beaches is in its off-season right now, which means travel there is extra affordable. Take a look at these low priced travel packages that will get you to the beach for a bargain:

BELIZE

This breezy Central American destination is famous for its first-rate snorkeling and scuba diving. Right now you can save big on a beach getaway to the island of Ambergris Caye. Virgin Vacations is currently offering a seven-night vacation at a beachfront resort for just $1,329. The price covers roundtrip airfare from your choice of several U.S. gateways, including Dallas, Houston, New Orleans and Phoenix to Belize City and onward to Ambergris Caye; daily breakfast; and hotel accommodations. The offer expires August 15, 2008.

COSTA RICA

It’s even cheaper to fly to Costa Rica with Latin Escapes summer travel package. The travel group is offering a four-day air and hotel deal for just $559. The price includes roundtrip airfare from Miami (if you are departing from New York it’s $50 extra), a three-night stay at Presidente Hotel in the capital of San Jose, daily breakfast, and a guided tour of nearby volcanoes, rainforests and flower plantations.
