Super Bowl Recipes and Diet Tips

Think You Have to Stay Home and Watch the Super Bowl While Eating a Salad?

Think again.

Yes, we’re hitting another dieter road block—the Super Bowl. Just a mere week away, the Super Bowl doesn’t mean just watching football and a bunch of great commercials. To me, it means beer, chips and dips and greasy meatballs simmering in some kind of sauce that I shouldn’t be eating.

If you’ve been reading this blog at all—you know the standards that apply to stick to your diet in these types of situations…

1. Eat a small meal before you go. You’ll be less likely to overeat

2. Have a “game plan” and decide what you’re going to eat before you get there

3. Keep your portions manageable, and don’t go back for seconds (and don’t graze in the kitchen!)

4. Steer clear or limit your alcohol intake, you’ll be less likely to overeat

5. Bring your own diet-friendly snacks and stick to those instead of the greasy fried and diet no-no’s

What diet friendly snacks you ask? Luckily for us, with a few simple substitutions we can enjoy the Super Bowl without completely wrecking our diets…we’ve made it through a month of dieting with our New Year’s Resolutions! There is no turning back now!

I’ve put a few of my favorite Super Bowl recipes out on the Food Blog that I thought everyone would like to try….
